What is a good hostess gift for a wine and cheese party?

I don’t know the people very well. When I go to parties, I usually give wine as a hostess gift, but is that redundant in this case?

I don’t think so! I’ve brought it wine to a wine party before because I thought it would help replenish the host’s stores, if you will. If that’s bad manners, it’ll be news to me.

Other, standard hostess gifts are okay too: a small box of chocolates, a really nice soy candle, or flowers…
